beach is an 80s synth-pop inspired duo currently based in Berlin. What happens when you take a California based singer-songwriter and trap him in a basement with a German indie-pop producer? You get beach – a sparkling pop band, a brilliant blend of buoyant, breezy beats and bold bass.

beach is comprised of San Francisco born singer-songwriter Asher Witkin and Hannover native Jonas Sercombe (lead singer for The Planetoids). Asher began his career in music performing with some of the biggest acts in the world, having sung with Coldplay, Daveed Diggs, Alexander Rybak, and Woody Goss, and recorded vocals for Kehlani. Asher and Jonas met at Popakademie in Mannheim, Germany in 2021, and have been writing together ever since with a shared vision of creating music that feels nostalgic yet contemporary, blending the best of 80s nostalgia with modern production sensibilities.
